Here comes 7.9 :)
This is a major change in the build process switching to the current "vanilla" sources.
I'll add an option to use Logitech/slimserver instead of my fork if preferred, but that would push download and installation sizes by factor 10.

@windy
Version 10 is imho a completely other software called UE Music Library. I haven't tried it yet but 7.9 is the "current" release. When the -git package is confirmed working I'll update this package to 7.9 first.

Sounds good! The problem with slimdevices.com was the naming of the nightly builds because the download-link changed frequently.
I'll update the PKGBUILD and we can test it soon.

The newer version are no longer on downloads.slimdevices.com but appear on github (https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/archive/public/7.9.zip)
Would it be possible to update the package to reflect this move?

Are there any known issues with updating to LMS 7.8.1 or 7.9.0? Happy to try and report findings if no known issues, thanks.

Okay, unsure how you installed an older version but at the moment I assume my last upload is working. So if anyone else has problems please report here. lms problems - I don't mean the problems with your wife ;), I'm sure we can find out what's going on.

I don't know why but I recognized that the new installation via yaourt was broken (missing object files, thanks to NygelLyndley). I reinstalled an older version of logitechmediaserver – and surprise – now it is working again. I the installation of perl moduls from AUR made the problems gone.
But there must be a bigger problem with my Arch installation – maybe some broken packages. I have to go deeper into it.
Thanks for your help!
