Renophaston: I've integrated your fix, since it doesn't seem to break anything I can notice. Cheers.

@Renophaston: Thank you very much, the fix works for me too! Could you maybe create a patch and send it to the maintainer?

I also suffered from the problem that at least the pause button in the web interface was not working anymore. And I can confirm that the solution suggested by Renophaston did indeed fix it. Thanks!
@Renophaston: Did you report this in the slimdevices bug tracker? http://bugs.slimdevices.com

In the web interface, pause does not work and on my Squeezebox itself, next and previous do not work. This started very recently, like two to three updates ago.

This PKGBUILD really works fine for me - I've uninstalled previous LMS, upgraded PERL and then applied this PKGBUILD - works like a charm for me.

And as for getting somewhere, wouldn't you think that those "perl related errors in the log" are worth thousands of random, unsupported speculations?
vesath commented on 2012-06-11 07:24 (UTC)
I have no clue what you are talking about: the directory you mention is supposed to be created by buildme.sh, not to be found on the SVN server.
Please stick to reporting facts thoroughly, and avoid speculating.

I managed to get my LMS working again with a small "fix" I detailed here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?95408-perl-7-16&p=707226&viewfull=1#post707226. But I'm not claiming it's actually the right thing to do, only that it worked for me. I don't understand why it should be necessary, especially if you're not having the same problems. So proceed with caution! :)

No perl module is a currently a dependency, since they are all rebuilt against perl-5.16 from upstream sources and included in the package.
I have no idea what your problem is (since you didn't tell me), but you can always try `pacman -Syu` and then reboot.
