Is the ugly hack not working?
It's been fixed upstream but they haven't made a release. If it's broken I could patch it.

If you can't fix it, you can create a temp lua-lpeg0.9 or sth else

I couldn't fix it so I added an ugly hack in the PKGBUILD for now.

Actual lua-lpeg 1.1.0-1 (dependency) is incompatible with this library:
Field
versionis missing in thelua-lpegnow. It has to be fixed and create new luajson library.trougnouf commented on 2021-02-01 11:20 (UTC)

This needs a make dependency on lua itself. Right now this package can't build in a clean chroot. This issue was likely introduced with the split package implementation for lua53.
