The install command should be changed from:

    install -Dm644 "$f" "$pkgdir/usr/share/minetest/games/mineclone2/$f"

To:

    install -Dm644 "$f" "$pkgdir/usr/share/luanti/games/mineclone2/$f"

Else Luanti doesn't see VoxeLibre is installed.

Please update to depend on luanti-common instead as it is replacing minetest-common.

Download doesn't work, seams like the url changed : Changing the source accordingly and updating the hashes does the trick :

source=("$pkgver.tar.gz::https://git.minetest.land/VoxeLibre/VoxeLibre/archive/${pkgver}.tar.gz")

Weird, I can both cleanbuild it with makepkg, and through yay with a clear cache. Can you try downloading the PKGBUILD and building it directly with makepkg ?

Getting a different build error, now that I've uninstalled minetest-mineclone2 and ran yay -S minetest-voxelibre

==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! -> error making: minetest-voxelibre-exit status 1 -> Failed to install the following packages. Manual intervention is required: minetest-voxelibre - exit status 1

I asked for the package to be merged into https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/minetest-voxelibre
