How about using the git repository, using the tag to get the correct version (such as https://github.com/magento/magento2/tree/2.0.0). Does that differ with the tar file?

I'm not sure what's the problem, but it just doesn't work. I've downloaded it manually, put it in my /srv/http and it worked out of the box.

I have now found the URL to download Magento from makepkg. Also update to 1.7.0.1. Have fun.

I found the upload problem. You still need to manually download the source file from the magento site. They use some stupid form submit when triggering the download. I will try to get around it somehow. But at least now the package is less confusing.

I sound the uplaod "bug" and updated the package. You still need to download the source file first and put it into your package root dir. Magento is using form submit when triggering the download.

Hi, yes. I know. I saw it 2 sec after I uploaded it. I am trying to upload a fixed version, but for some reason it is just hanging and in the end timing out. Not sure what it can be. There is also a second problem and it is here that the source "brain-fart" comes it. For some reason you can not download the source packages from the magento site. You are getting some HTML redir page I believe. So to solve it, just download the file at:
http://www.magentocommerce.com/getmagento/1.6.2.0/magento-1.6.2.0.tar.bz2
and put it into a sub directory called 1.6.2.0. It should work then.
Let me know how it goes.
