There is a problem on saving files in non english Enviroments.
You need to change :
export LC_NUMERIC=en_GB.UTF-8
to
export LC_ALL=en_GB.UTF-8
Otherwise project files are saved wrong. (some dots became commas)

Magicq is marked as 'demo mode' in its window title-bar, but it just means there is no wing or interface connected to control. If nothing is connected It works in visualization mode and is useful for making off-line shows, testing, media projection software, or just to study Chamsys consoles.
I'm not sure the dependency array is complete. But if your Arch system is sane, with mesa and other obvious everyday desktop-use libraries installed, there should be no problem.
Magicq is installed in /opt/magicq and some directories have given execute and write permissions for all users. This is necessary because the install directory is also where magicq writes its saved shows etc. If this is a problem on your system, chmod -R 775 /opt/magicq and run "sudo bash /opt/magicq/runmagicq.sh" from the terminal to start Magicq
