I did start mp from console. Then I did configure over webUI.
I did stop mp pressing CTRL+D.
I am starting it from console again, but not able to login in webUI. I am entering same password but mp is saying that it is wrong.
any idea?

Sorry for the late update, summer vacation :) But updated now!

Also added a service file which runs Mailpile as user: mailpile. So you have to move your .mailpile folder to /var/lib/mailpile. Something like this:

sudo cp -r OLD_MAILPILE_HOME/.mailpile /var/lib/mailpile/
sudo sed -i 's^OLD_MAILPILE_HOME^/var/lib/mailpile^g' /var/lib/mailpile/.mailpile/mailpile.cfg
sudo chown -R mailpile: /var/lib/mailpile
sudo -u mailpile mp --setup

or set up a new configuration:
sudo -u mailpile mp --set "profiles.0.name = Your Name"
sudo -u mailpile mp --set "profiles.0.email = yourmail@domain.com"
..
sudo -u mailpile mp --setup

Hey Foxboron, that's great! Thanks!

But I was thinking of maybe creating a mailpile daemon user and starting mailpile as that user, instead of giving the service file the ability to start as different users. Because you can only run one instance of mailpile, as 'mp --www' will point at localhost:33411. Right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wrote a service file for mailpile.

$ /usr/lib/systemd/system/mailpile@.service
[Unit]
Description=Mailpile on user %I
After=network.target

[Service]
Type=simple
User=%I
PIDFile=/run/mailpile-%I.pid
ExecStart=/usr/bin/mp --www
KillSignal=SIGQUIT

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
