@mgdobachesky could you make reflector an optional dependency? It would make the package usable in arm archlinux for example, and I think it is not needed for most features.

@mgdobachesky I was just doing all these system maintenance steps manually when I came across your forum post and was intrigued by it. So I checked it out and it is just what I needed. I also like how you got feedback from the community and incorporated into the package. The scripts are clear and easy to follow, I'm inspired to learn more myself. Thanks.

@tim3dman I appreciate it, that is really cool to hear

@troyBORG are you using Manjaro by chance? It looks like "reflector" is only in the Arch Linux repositories, as it is used to update the Arch Linux mirrorlists. Manjaro uses a separate set of mirrors so it makes sense that the "reflector" package wouldn't be included in their repositories. While "maint" was written for Arch Linux, it does seem like some people are interested in using it under Manjaro as well, so I'll see what I can do about adding in some Manjaro alternatives to the Arch Linux specific tasks

Just put out the 2.9 release:

@linuxninja the $EDITOR environment variable is now used by default for modifying settings

@tobsen there is now an option in settings to set the directories to be excluded in the backup/restore processes

@tobsen thank you :) I agree that it would be nice to customize the rsync --exclude list. I'll put this in with the next batch of improvements

Hi Michael, I really like your package. Could you please include the option to modify the --exclude list from the rsync backup. Best regards, Tobsen
