If you encounter an error about libcrypt.so.1 missing when running "MSUWebService start", install the libxcrypt-compat package from [core].

To a current or future maintainer of this package, please add libxcrypt-compat to depends

Thanks for you report. When setting up the package, I mistakenly thought that the "-1" in the RPM provided by Marvell corresponds to the "$pkrel" variable. However, this is not the case, it is part of the package version number of Marvell. I fixed the issue, it should work now!

The installation is failing right now with:

==> Starting build()... Extracting RPM. bsdtar: Error opening archive: Failed to open '/tmp/yaourt-tmp-benibr/aur-marvell-msu/src/Marvell_MSU_Linux_v4.1.0.2032/MSU-4.1.0.2032-2.x86_64.rpm'

which can be manually fixed by setting the pkgrel variable to 1 in the PKGBUILD Please fix for future use and thank you for maintaining the package for this quirky software.

Please add openssl-1.0 as a new dependency; it's necessary to start the apache2 webserver.

Thank you! rpmextract dependecy was removed libarchive is now a make dependency.

Scimmia commented on 2018-02-03 04:34 (UTC)

Does this really need rpmextract at run time, or is it only build time? If it's build time, that's what makedepends is for, but you should just switch to extracting it with bsdtar and get rid of the dep on the useless rpmextract wrapper all together.
