Thanks for the heads up @Sir-Photch. There is quite a bit of recent discussion in the comment thread of mautrix-whatsapp aur packages, where the same problem had been occurring. I failed to notice they had changed the .tmpfiles there, to make root:mautrix-whatsapp the owner:group of /etc/mautrix-whatsapp. The -4 pkgrel does that and should fix that error.
