Есть проблема. Нужно что бы в %HOME/.local/share/applications/ был .desktop файл. Иначе другие приложения (в т.ч. ссылки в браузере) не смогут открываться в приложении. И он не должен быть пустым. А создаётся пустым.

@kuhtoxo Похоже я разобрался в чем проблема: нужно установить какую-нибудь программу для хранения паролей — gnome-keyring keepassx или kwallet, без этого не запускается.

Предположительно, с версии 26.1.0.43045 разработчики перешли с версии, основанной на Electron, на версию, основанную на Qt, в связи с чем поменялись зависимости и особенности работы программы.
Разработчики заявляют https://download.max.ru/linux-repos поддержку Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Oracle Linux, где в основном используются следующие оконные менеджеры: KDE (Plasma), GNOME, Xfce и LXDE. Мне удалось проверить работу MAX в KDE (Plasma), Xfce и GNOME. В KDE (Plasma) и Xfce проблем не было замечено, а в GNOME требуется доустановить gnome-keyring для нормальной работы приложения.
Иные оконные менеджеры, вероятно, не поддерживаются. За их поддержкой надо обращаться в официальную техническую поддержку https://help.max.ru/.
Если у вас не работает новая версия MAX, вы можете использовать версию max-appimage или веб-версию.

Presumably, since version 26.1.0.43045, the developers switched from the Electron-based version to the Qt-based version, and therefore the dependencies and features of the program have changed.

@kuhtoxo Пакет не работает. И не у меня одного (я использую wayland композитор dwl). Пришлось пока перейти на AppImage версию. Если у вас работает, то может у вас установлены какие то зависимости не указанные в PKGBUILD? Если нужно я могу предоставить необходимые логи.
