Please add a dependency on contractor or contractor-bzr. At the moment, the error mentioned by mareke still happens when you don't have contractor installed:

[_LOG_LEVEL_FATAL 10:18:23.978445] ContractorButtonWithMenu.vala:65: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.elementary.Contractor was not provided by any .service files
[_LOG_LEVEL_FATAL 10:18:23.978516] Maya will not function properly.

I couldn't tell you, I've been getting a black window for a couple months, and now I'm not even getting anything anymore. I have no idea why that is, you might want to try your luck upstream.

mareke commented on 2015-08-15 09:31

Now no fatal errors but startup loading time is same. Does adding Google calendar working? I got Segmentation fault (core dumped) error.

alucryd commented on 2015-08-15 08:09

My bad, I thought this was a build issue, added dep on contractor-bzr.

mareke commented on 2015-08-15 07:20

Strange. Maya startup takes about minute.

I don't seem run into this issue. All my packages are built in a clean chroot so there's definitely no contractor package and I can still build maya.

mareke commented on 2015-08-13 20:27

Im getting same error:
ContractorButtonWithMenu.vala:65: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.elementary.Contractor was not provided by any .service files

Someone provided me with a patch for evolution 3.16 which is why this now compiles, but I also get a black window even with intel oss driver :(

pauloschilling commented on 2015-04-16 17:43

I also received some errors when I first tried to install it, and when I finally managed to do that, now when I open Maya it takes some time and show just a black screen, probably has something to do with catalyst-test-pxp package, I'm not sure...

Which icon are you talking about? Everything looking good here.

ak5 commented on 2014-03-13 08:42

Hi,

It seems like I am missing an icon for maya. My other Pantheon (bzr) apps are working fine.

Please let me know if this is a known issue.

This does not build against our version of evolution-data-server. Wait and see for now.

Ner0 commented on 2012-12-26 17:11

Yeah, this is a known problem with evolution-data-server 3.6.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/maya/+bug/1088815

The temporary solution is to downgrade it to 3.4.4.

Anonymous comment on 2012-12-26 05:06

makepkg results in abortion, giving errors to do with evolution-data-server-3.6 libecal. Any ideas on what this is and how i can fix it?

idainet commented on 2012-08-21 19:43

Maya's latest builds use Granite.Widgets.LightWindow which is not available in granite, only granite-bzr

Anonymous comment on 2012-07-01 19:35

Using 'granite' as a dependency results in a build failure here due to some missing method/object. Using 'granite-bzr' works.

Ner0 commented on 2011-11-16 15:49

I know, it's not even working on my Ubuntu dist

gimmy commented on 2011-11-16 13:56

Please check package with namcap and correct the PKGBUILD: the program gives fatal error at stratup.
