@ArgylePwnage it is under active development in the sense that the community members (including myself) fix bugs, enhance performance, clean code, and add support for changes in the kernel. Feature-wise, there is not much to be added.

@Yamakaky I successfully build the package on i686 (Macbook 1,1 with Intel Core Duo) so please add that architecture in the PKGBUILD!

I think it would be more accurate to say it's feature complete.

Is this still under development or has it become "abandon-ware"?

Well, I'm not really sure, as the Arch packaging standards (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_packaging_standards) are not fully clear here. Nos. 4 and 5 in the section "AUR packages" state that all hard dependencies should be listed, and they recommend using namcap for checking the packages. I did check the package with namcap and it reported that gcc-libs was missing. Looking at the "Required by" list of https://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/x86_64/gcc-libs/ it doesn't seem to be considered bad practice to add it as a dependency for other packages. There are currently 323 packages requiring gcc-libs. In the end, you're the maintainer, so it's your decision! I only passed on the information I got from namcap.

It's in base so it shouldn't be needed, should it ?

Hi, namcap shows gcc-libs as a missing dependency. Should this be added to the PKGBUILD?

Done !

Thank you for the reports. Starting from v1.9.0, mbpfan does recognize Linux-v4.x.x. However, when I accepted the pull request that formed v1.9.0, I forgot to ask for updated tests, as well. So, mbpfan-v1.9.0 was containing tests that were suitable for pre-v.1.9.0. The new minor release mbpfan-v.1.9.1 contains correct tests. Please test it and update the package in AUR. Cheers!
