There are two issues with your package:

  1. You must change the source download protocol from git:// to git+https:// due to changes at github.com. As it is now, download will timeout with no connection.
  2. Since you use upstream commit count in the $pkgver, you must prefix it with r, e.g.:
    printf 'r%s' "`git rev-list --count HEAD`"
    If you fix that, you need to increment $epoch (set epoch=1 if not yet set).
