(process:9185): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.system.proxy' is not installed

Freso commented on 2014-01-07 21:36

I don't have "gsettings-desktop-schemas" installed here, and MCPatcher works fine. I may consider adding it as an $optdepend.

Also Kahr re-uploaded mcpatcher-4.3.1_01.jar which is why the MD5SUM check failed. A new PKGBUILD has been uploaded with the updated MD5SUM.

New md5sum:

Also, if "gsettings-desktop-schemas" isn't a dependency, it needs to be.

salsadoom commented on 2013-12-29 05:03

dsohler: install "gsettings-desktop-schemas" this fixes it.

salsadoom commented on 2013-12-29 04:48

Same error as dsohler. I get the same error downloading and running it manually, so it looks like 4.3.1 is b0rked.

For those who have switched to Minecraft 1.7.x now, there's a PKGBUILD for MCPatcher 4.3.0-beta4 in the Bitbucket repository: https://bitbucket.org/Freso/pkgbuilds/src/master/mcpatcher - note that you will have to download the .jar yourself (I use plowdown) via the link from the MCPatcher thread on the MC forums.

"mcpatcher3" has been uploaded for people using Minecraft 1.5.x: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mcpatcher3

"mcpatcher2" has been uploaded for people who still have Minecraft <1.5 around: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mcpatcher2/

I still accept pull requests at https://bitbucket.org/Freso/pkgbuilds if you want to help speed things up. Marking the package as out-of-date is sufficient for me to notice - and I marked it myself as soon as 2.4.5_03 was released. A mix of university application writing and travelling have left me little time for other for the last few weeks though. I came home yesterday and am currently trying to catch up on several things from the last few weeks that I need to deal with, this package being one of them.

And there is 3.0.3

https://bitbucket.org/prupe/mcpatcher/downloads/mcpatcher-3.0.3.jar

If you don’t want to maintain the package any longer, please orphan it so others can take and update it. :)

dsohler commented on 2013-03-15 01:36

3.0.2_01 was released

2.4.5_02 is released :3

Freso commented on 2012-12-25 16:59

And Kahr has decided to move mcpatcher to Bitbucket, so PKGBUILD is now updated and bumped to version 2.4.5 accordingly. Enjoy! :)

Freso commented on 2012-12-19 15:18

mcpatcher 2.4.4_01 has been released. However, as GitHub has stopped their filehosting, the upstream package is currently being stored on Mediafire, which cannot be used as a source in the PKGBUILD. This package won't be updated until the upstream is hosting the package somewhere usable.

dsohler commented on 2012-11-14 17:32

2.4.3_04 is out :)

Freso commented on 2012-11-05 00:36

Downloading from Github does not equal using Git. However, feel free to make pull requests against https://github.com/Freso/PKGBUILDs/ if there's anything you think could be done better.

dsohler commented on 2012-11-04 23:17

https://github.com/

Just saying … :)

Freso commented on 2012-11-03 18:16

If the package is outdated, just flag it so and I'll be informed.

Also, this PKGBUILD doesn't use Git as a download source.

dsohler commented on 2012-11-03 16:51

2.4.3_03 is out :)

Btw. you should check /usr/share/pacman/PKGBUILD-git.proto and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_PKGBUILD_Guidelines on how to make a correct PKGBUILD when using GIT as download source.

dsohler commented on 2012-11-03 16:48

2.4.3_03 is out.

Freso commented on 2012-09-18 23:30

I transferred the Git history from xConStruct's GitHub repository to my own today and updated the PKGBUILD to the latest version.

In addition to this, I also sat down with the XDG Desktop Entry Specification and created a .desktop file for MCPatcher. After updating to 2.4.2_03-2, you should see "MCPatcher" in your "Games" menu. Let me know if you encounter any issues with this.

Freso commented on 2012-08-22 22:28

New GitHub home will be https://github.com/Freso/PKGBUILDs/mcpatcher as soon as I've transferred history from xConStruct's repository. :)

It’s on 2.4.1_03 now :)

dsohler commented on 2012-08-12 15:43

2.4.0 was out since at least Minecraft 1.2.5 and yesterday Version 2.4.1 was released. Too bad, that this is still on 2.3.7 …

xConStruct commented on 2011-12-16 10:17

Not on GitHub.

Brottweiler commented on 2011-12-16 10:09

New version out again; 2.3.0

Freso commented on 2011-12-11 12:28

And the direct link is working. There's a pull request on GitHub. ;)

xConStruct commented on 2011-12-09 21:02

Now we're just waiting for direct links again :/

Brottweiler commented on 2011-12-09 20:50

2.2.3 is out. Flagged Out of Date.

dsohler commented on 2011-11-14 22:00

Ypdate to 2.2.2? Direct links are available again.

Freso commented on 2011-10-24 14:45

2.2.0 is out! \o/

There's an updated PKGBUILD at https://raw.github.com/Freso/PKGBUILDs/master/mcpatcher/PKGBUILD if it's easier to wget than edit the two lines needed. :p Aaand... I just realised you've a GitHub yourself, for your PKGBUILDs. Pull request coming up. ;)

xConStruct commented on 2011-10-14 23:18

Yep, it's just the GitHub upload - again. The author knows about this and won't do anything about it. The few details I gathered are that the upload failed and the file stays broken until GitHub removes it, so that it can be re-uploaded.

Not sure if I can get it to build though, a quick test with ant fails on some IDE-dependency (intellij compiler?), and I can't find any build instructions. Maybe, if I find the time, I'll pursue this further, but at the moment I'm just waiting for a working download or until a new release shows up.

Freso commented on 2011-10-14 23:02

Also, it looks like the MediaFire link from http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/232701-181-19pre4update-103-mcpatcher-hd-fix-212/ works fine. I doubt it's usable for PKGBUILD purposes though. :) It could be uploaded to a Dropbox Public folder or something though.

Freso commented on 2011-10-14 22:51

If you're up for setting the package up from the source files, those could be fetched from the tags page https://github.com/pclewis/mcpatcher/tags (or directly from git). Did you write the upstream author about the error page?

Freso commented on 2011-10-14 22:48

You could use the tar.gz or zip download from the tags page, until the other one is fixed, perhaps? https://github.com/pclewis/mcpatcher/tags

xConStruct commented on 2011-10-11 14:42

FYI: The GitHub download link of the newest version (2.1.2) redirects to an error page, and the only available mirror is an one-click hoster. If anyone notices a working direct link, please write here and I'll update the PKGBUILD :)
