Considering how unnecessarily hostile arch users are (case in point: the first comment here,) i thought the snark about MSVC was pretty tame.

This comments section serves as a wonderful cautionary tale to always be careful of what you say on the internet. The developer of this program, headassbtw, just found your comment calling him "some lazy developer" and is currently laughing at you

@begin-theadventu: Thanks for the info.

This tool is used for Titanfall 2, specifically for the Northstart client mods.

MDL is a proprietary model file format, and this tool allows to convert to it from custom models or other games so that such an MDL file can be used in Titanfall 2.

More details can be found on wiki/MDL ; YouTube ; mdlshit-binaries/releases or mdlshit/releases.

@begin-theadventu: Who said anything about Electron? You're completely missing my point. Check the name of the project, the flippant description of the project and read my comment again.

Either way, what purpose does this package have? Is it useful to others? Does some other AUR package need this? See AUR submission guidelines

Some would say that all Electron apps are "lazy" (this one doesn't use it).

This is also a bin package; even if it were a regular package, why should I care about developer's support regarding MSVC.

I don't know what the problem is.

Why would you add sh*t from some lazy developer to the AUR? The developer even says, "Zero support or consideration will be given in regards to using MSVC, find a better compiler."
