It's using python2 which is going away. Losing python2 functionality is not losing any functionality. Python2 should be a depend. None of the python functions will work without it. Python can come back if someone makes a python3 patch for it.

@severach: Could you please elaborate? The package builds fine the way it is on my machine (up to date Arch install). Why compiling without Python and losing functionality? Also, python is a makedepend, not a depend, already.

Remove dependencies python, pygtk. depends python isn't even correct. Change PYTHON=python2 to --with-python=no.
