Updated Pinned Comment

Recommended way to update :

run pacman -Syu
build & update llvm-svn & lib32-llvm-svn
build & update mesa-git
build & update lib32-mesa-git

If you feel llvm-svn takes to long to build (50 minutes on my system) Kerberizer (aur llvm-svn & lib32-llvm-svn maintainer ) has setup an unofficial repo.

That repo is updated to latest llvm-svn several times per day.

Sorry for not being clearer.
Kerberizer is correct, the current PKGBUILD is deprecated.
mesa-test-git is fully uptodate and has been used on my personal systems for 2+ months without any problems.

Once AL has switched to GLVND, we might even be able to get rid of the *-libgl-git stuff and have mesa-git become a simple not-splitted package.

@linkmauve :
thanks for the link, i was not aware that list existed.

@linkmauve, I believe this package is now considered deprecated. As mentioned by @Lone_Wolf, users should switch to mesa-test-git (or just wait for it to be merged here in two weeks). I've been using the mesa-test-git and lib32-mesa-test-git packages from the very beginning and can attest that they are trouble-free (at least for my setup, of course).

Also please subscribe to to get notifications whenever the build options change, so users won’t get a broken package at any time.

Hi, the --with-sha1 option has been removed, as well as its previous value of nettle: a sha1 implementation is now built in-tree.

Here is the warning if you pass this option:
configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --with-sha1

Package fails to build atm due to the removal of ilo driver code.

I have been working on a new improved git package for mesa, please switch to mesa-test-git / lib32-mesa-test-git.
In approx 2 weeks (28 february) i will request mesa-test-git to be merged into this package.

The Intel ILO Gallium3D driver is no more, should be removed from PKGBUILD

This is a VCS package that always builds the latest version and can never be out-of-date.

Just try building it and you'll notice it builds a different version then the one listed above.

sthalik, no build issues here.
Check these :
Are base-devel and/or multilib-devel (only needed for building lib32-* stuff) installed ?
have you run pacman -Syu just before building ?
Is your building folder on a native linux filesystem ?

If those checks all succeed, post full build log on a pastebin site.

As for building against stable llvm/clang : check my comment from 2016-20-12 .

Also mesa no longer requires llvm-svn and can do with regular llvm. I solved it locally with dummy *-svn packages. Gallium builds as it should.

Without manual `git config core.symlinks true' the build fails on r200. Please set symlink support in the source repository.
