I don't have anything against clang: I've simply noticed that I have the same override in Gentoo and I didn't remember why I added it :)

  1. I tried to build with gcc, but it fails.
  2. There is no reason to use gcc.

Yes, so this package has been changed to source the rusticl/sycl branch, which has not yet been merged.
