Hi, /opt/microchip/xc8/v1.32/etc does not exist for me. Trying solving the problem manually

Forget it, it works if /opt/microchip/xc8/v1.32/etc exists.

ivanovp, for me it builds fine on 2 machines. Could you maintain this package?

ivanovp commented on 2014-06-18 19:24 (UTC)

Building still fails for me. Working PKGBUILD: http://pastebin.com/tAhpA2LG

titron commented on 2014-06-18 13:22 (UTC)

"sudo mkdir -p /opt/microchip/xc8/v1.32/etc" befor install

Giving 777 to /opt/microchip/xc8/ seems like a bad idea. I'd advise using just mkdir. Do you think we should branch off this package into specific versions? I noticed that MLA doesn't build with v1.30; it doesn't matter at the moment, but it might in the future.

titron commented on 2014-04-05 16:47 (UTC)

"sudo mkdir -p /opt/microchip/xc8/v1.31/etc" befor install or "sudo chmod 777 /opt/microchip/xc8/"

Maybe it need to be run in chroot, but I think it is not normal.
