There's multiple implementations of micropolis in the same source https://github.com/SimHacker/micropolis/blob/wiki/Description.md

The one built on this is the regular Linux one, micropolis-activity

Maybe I misguided the results of https://github.com/SimHacker/micropolis/search?p=1&q=Facebook in particular https://github.com/SimHacker/micropolis/blob/b0c5a3f495ebabbc51d5e45dac948d8e40fc53ee/MicropolisCore/src/pyMicropolis/micropolisEngine/micropolisturbogearsengine.py I may be wrong.

Where do you get such a silly idea it connects to Facebook? It doesn't. I will update the upstream tomorrow, thank you for that

t.ask commented on 2015-08-03 12:42

This game seems to connect with "Facebook API". It might be good to add this to the description and please update the Upstream URL to "https://github.com/simhacker/micropolis".

I had build failure because it couldn't find /usr/bin/yacc on my system. Adding bison to makedepends fixed it.

@electrified: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_User_Guidelines#Prerequisites
bison is part of base-devel which is assumed that you have.

electrified commented on 2011-09-13 21:02

Should have a dependency on bison as well, as that is needed for yacc.

A better, fully re-written PKGBUILD

http://pastebin.com/V7zP3tMK

Does not use the micropolis.desktop and micropolis.png on this package, only the PKGBUILD is needed(upstream ships .desktop and an icon, uses those)

@erm67: You can update with my PKGBUILD or disown and I can start maintaining

I am a robot. AUR guidelines suggest to not include binaries. You have accidentally tarred up some dotfiles. Examples:
micropolis-git/micropolis.png
.gitignore
A survey of TUs suggests an icon or two is okay, but please ask upstream to officially include it. Suggestion: use "makepkg --source". This robot will not bother you again.
