I was using --ozone-platform-hint=auto and having the startup issue in 124 as well, changing this to --ozone-platform=wayland fixed it for me

@abcfy2 There is no way to enable hardware accel with edge in linux because MS disables vaapi in the source code level.

@nowy Thanks. How does edge enable hardware video decode in Linux? Thanks.

@abcfy2 edge doesn't have code for vaapi.

Hi there. Is there any way to enable hardware video decode? I try to add --enable-features=VaapiVideoDecoder --ignore-gpu-blocklist but still not working. But these options work for Chrome. Any help?

Very likely an issue with MSEdge, please issue a report directly to them. Will test anyway and check if it is a packaging issue.

@snowblind001 Thanks for your update on version numbers, I am here to help @nicomix on maintaining this package, Skipping SHA256 checksums are not good practice, let me know if I am wrong here. I'll instead write a timer to periodically check for new versions and update the checksums and version and push a commit automatically :) Hope this helps us both be hands-off and occasionally fix issues with the packaging itself.

There is an update.sh script in repo. So you just need to clone this AUR and run ./update.sh will upgrade the version. Then run makepkg -si will install the latest package.
