I've temporarily switched over to the beta version, because I'm getting an error with the stable version.

After the update, the copilot plug-in on the right side is gone.

Thanks everyone for testing out libxml2-legacy and bittin for their suggestions and changes in the beta package to use debian packages instead of the rpms. I've pushed an update to include them in the stable package too!

@aakashhemadri To solve sync issues, is it possible to include libxml2-legacy as dependency?

zelimir commented on 2025-10-31 17:17 (UTC)

@mag Better solution: Install libxml2-legacy from Arch repos.

@mag Yep, that works! thanks a bunch!

I was having problems with sync on my work account. The issue seems to be some changes in the latest versions of libxml2 as explained here https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/343401.

Sync seems fixed to me with: - Download the libxml library from the debian package libxml2_2.12.7+dfsg+really2.9.14-2.1+deb13u1_amd64.deb - Extracted the files libxml2.so.2 and libxml2.so.2.9.14 - Copied them in /opt/microsoft/msedge/

After restarting edge, the sync immediately started working

why is profile sync not working?. I enable it over at settings, but it does nothing. also, flatpak uri (like flatpak+htpps://some-url) seems not to work The flatpack version for this browser shows neither of these problems; i am missing some dependency?

Sorry to those who've been waiting for an update, was on a work trip couldn't get to this until now. You should see consistent updates from here-on.
