Upstream has not had any updates since 2025-08. It is based in Firefox ESR 128, which was deprecated by Mozilla 2025-09 and is by now affected by dozens of unfixed CVEs, some of which exploited in wild.
Considered flagging this package but technically it is still up to date with the out-of-date browser.
Maybe maintainer wants to pin an advisory or reconsider the package.
Package in Arch is flagged out of date. Can we get an updated version?
I try to install midori-bin and I receive an error on the package download website:Error downloading https://astian.org/wp-content/uploads/midori-browser/linux/midori_11.2.2_amd64.deb You have to change the download website to:https://astian.org/midori-browser/download/linux/midori_11.3.2_amd64.deb
@ponchale As explained in comments for another package, your proposed description, "Midori Lightweight Web Browser, fast and secure", is in violation of Arch packaging guidelines because it is self-referencing. It also does not differentiate from previous incarnations of Midori, which were based on different rendering engines.
We request to change the browser description, since the corresponding credits are given to Floorp in our source and in the repository readme. We request to change the description to Midori Lightweight Web Browser, fast and secure.
