Hello, @mesbahamin!

I've just successfully installed this package. Everything seems to work splendidly. How marvellous it is!

Thank you for maintaining the program!

@ycleptish, thanks for catching a problem with this AUR package! cmake is needed in the build script, but wasn't listed as a build dependency in the PKGBUILD file. I've fixed that in this package and in milton-git.

Please try installing again and let me know if it works.

I'm genuinely sorry, but Linux compilation doesn't work (neither this nor git package). I have no idea how I got it working without an issue last time. And I cannot attain success even if I do it manually.

It says, "./build-lin.sh: line 27: cmake: command not found." So, there's an extra work to do so far.

I'm sorry again for disinformation.

A newer version (1.9.0) was recently released. Unfortunately Linux compilation is broken on that version.

Fortunately, it was recently fixed in the not-yet-released source code. So if you want a newer version, you can use the milton-git package.

I will update this package once another release is created on which Linux compilation works.

Edit 2019-11-24: As of v1.9.1, Linux compilation is working!

As of the recent upstream fix, this works once again.

@mesbahamin I downloaded the mesa-demos package and tried running glxgears and got a nearly identical output (minus the serial number of the failed request and output stream.) Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I'll try reinstalling xorg and nvidia packages.

@spencerofl This seems to indicate that the creation of the OpenGL context failed. Searching around, it looks like this error is often due to a graphics card driver issue. You may wish to investigate that. For example, does the same thing happen when you run glxgears?

@spencerofl may want to post this to a ticket on https://github.com/serge-rgb/milton/issues (note: the dev says he doesn't formally support linux and MacOS)

I'm working on getting the latest Milton source to compile. In the meantime, I've gotten the most recent release working and added an AUR package for it: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/milton/
