The package has been updated on the minergate website, the new one has MD5 sum of "51804a97bd5dbb4e431bba94047ab766".

Looks like curl doesn't like the url:

curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired
More details here:

curl performs SSL certificate verification by default, using a "bundle"
of Certificate Authority (CA) public keys (CA certs). If the default
bundle file isn't adequate, you can specify an alternate file
using the --cacert option.
If this HTTPS server uses a certificate signed by a CA represented in
the bundle, the certificate verification probably failed due to a
problem with the certificate (it might be expired, or the name might
not match the domain name in the URL).
If you'd like to turn off curl's verification of the certificate, use
the -k (or --insecure) option.
HTTPS-proxy has similar options --proxy-cacert and --proxy-insecure

[25.08.2017 17:13:39] [error] API auth error. Error: MissingHeader Message: Client version must be specified.
[25.08.2017 17:13:39] [error] Updates response data: {"error":"MissingHeader","header":"client-version","message":"Client version must be specified."}

Still same problem? I'm using latest AUR package

the source link in PKGBUILD does not contain the version.
i assume that is the reason why there is now a checksum fail because a newer version is released.

Solved the proxy problem with the current version 6.8-3

Just updated the package and restored the original libraries that come with the minergate binary, if you still have problems, don't doubt to write here ;)
