So I've created the pzl_games package.

pzl_support commented on 2014-11-17 16:32

Guilty. Use whatever you like!

SanskritFritz commented on 2014-11-17 15:47

Hold on, are you the author? Your nick implies it.
I checked the homepage and couldn't find even the slightest hint of minesweeper being a successor of minestein, apart from the fact that both are always solvable and both are written in python. However the sources are completely different. I might create a package for the games however, I do like them :)

Minestein was replaced by the minesweeper in the pzl games package. If you read the info on the site you'll recognise it even though it looks slightly different..

Anyone knows wheter this nice game lives on somewhere? Google gave me only download sites, but there is no official homepage.

SanskritFritz commented on 2014-11-17 11:20

pzl_support I'm afraid that is a different game, I googled minestein
and found nothing there.

deimos thanks, but for the time being I'll just include the source into the package.

Here is a dropbox link for the source:

Yeah, domain expired. Let's hope there will be another homepage.

Thanks, fixed and updated.

Current source doesn't have a .desktop file and to be able to compile I had to change line 31 to:
cp "$srcdir/Minestein_icon.png" "$pkgdir/usr/share/pixmaps/Minestein_icon.png"

SanskritFritz commented on 2011-12-01 11:33

Thanks. The .desktop file is still faulty, there is a line break in the description :)

farvardin commented on 2011-12-01 11:10

I tried to upload it with aurup, but my version of aurup was maybe out of date, so it didn't upload at all.

It's updated now, and I added your suggestion.

Also, may I suggest to modify /usr/bin/minestein like this:

python2 /usr/share/minestein/Minestein.pyw

SanskritFritz commented on 2011-12-01 08:29

Sorry, you're right, I don't know what file I was looking into, maybe it was the zip file, and I thought it is binary.
You didn't increase the package version, did you really upload it?

@sanskritfritz: I've updated the checksum for the new release. It's working perfectly for me.
And minestein **is** opensource:

"This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or " + \
"modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License "+\
"as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 "+\
"of the License, or (at your option) any later version. "+\

SanskritFritz commented on 2011-11-29 20:56

This doesnt work because of python2 in archlinux. Since minestein is not opensource, I was unable to patch it.
