why not use the tarball ? it's faster than pulling from git: https://github.com/liballeg/allegro5/releases
the cmake macro already sets CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE
I bet the depends field is incomplete regarding all the libs needed to compile, you can use mingw-w64-ldd to look at linked libs

Could it be updated to 5.2.4.0, with added mingw-w64-libwebp to makedepends and changed mingw-w64-freetype to mingw-w64-freetype2?
If you don't have time, you can add me as co-maintainer.
