Looks like with the 4.7.2 update the -6 is now present twice. So upstream probably changed the build system and we have to remove the workaround from before.

Before the change to CMake the DLL names were libtiff-6.dll and libtiffxx-6.dll. The MSYS2 packaging also still uses these names. Now the -6 is gone. Can you add it back? A change similar to https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=mingw-w64-zlib&id=c9bfc4ebd92cf5fd411712aace45a4e83c2e6475 should do it.

Looks like python-sphinx is required for building. I had an error when building:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sphinx'

Installing python-sphinx solved it. Is it possible it is a makedepend?

EDIT: I see you added it to the makedepends, thanks!
