When you have a look at things, can I make a couple of requests?

The package will build so's and dll's.
Also, any chance of building static libs?

Maybe out of date. PKGBUILD will fail as-is.

Apache Xerces/Xalan are using runConfigure in their build scripts now.

Debian Dev has run across some similar issues as I did when attempting to build.
