I had to upload the package, since there is no more a direct link.
When you try to downbload a windows appears for donation.
If someone has a solution, please let me know.

The problem is that now there is a donation dialogue before downloading. I will try to find a solution, that is a direct link.
In the meantime you can download the package here:
www.tophifi.it/ftp/packages/minimserver-0.8.3-7-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

This package depends on the .apk version since the startup script is more suitable for archlinux (the original linux package is full of automatic configurations)

Before starting minimserver for the first time please check if the directory /home/$USER/.minimserver/data exists.
If not, in a user terminal type the following commands:

mkdir -p /home/$USER/.minimserver/data
touch /home/$USER/.minimserver/data/minimserver.config
echo ".autoUpdate = false" >> /home/$USER/.minimserver/data/minimserver.config

Since autoupdate cannot work unless minimserver is installed in a folder inside home direcory, please righ click in the systray icon --> properties __> system --> set autoUpdate to false.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
After installing you must create the configuration directory in your home directory with

mkdir -p ~/.minimserver/data

Minimserver is not "packaging friendly"...

After installing for the first time you need to call /opt/minimserver/bin/startc as root
First it will update if necessary (I don't like this I am looking to how to disable), after it will ask for your Music directory.
Please write the path of your music and press Enter two times.
This way minimserver will close and in the directory /opt/minimserver/data the configuration files will be created.
I had to chmod 777 /opt/minimserver/data beacause minimserver want to write configuration in the subdirectory data of the directory minimserver.
If you don't like this copy data for example to /home/<user>/.config/minimserver/data and make a symbolic link from /opt/minimserver/data to this directory.

Remember that the address http://localhost:9790 will not be active unless you have made the above configuration!

NOTE: the systray icon in archlinux is missing. So you cannot make easy configuration changes. I am discussing this problem with the author at minimserver forum.
