@tralce: I updated the version; took me a while because of my exams but now that I'm done I did my part, please (if possible) remove your comment

Fixed the PKGBUILD.

@HisDudeness: unfortunately I can't access that site either, it seems that the author removed permissions to that site, and looking to other themes related (Mint-X) I can't decide which one to use instead and many of them aren't updated at all (the most "recent" one was updated 3 years ago), so I guess I'll be removing that particular theme in another update.

I'm so sorry for Openbox but there is not much I can do on that part

HisDudeness commented on 2016-05-27 20:45

makepkg can't download If I open the link in my browser, tells me "You have no authorisation for this page".

Sam_Burgos commented on 2016-05-21 03:34

Greetings, I'll be adopting the package to check new versions, because of my work and studies I can't promise to keep it updated as soon as possible, but when possible I may work on the PKGBUILD and check if something is needed or not

laegnur commented on 2016-05-15 14:02

The mint package has been already updated.
Now it's mint-themes-gtk3_3.18+4.tar.xz and the sha256sum is b7991cd544d09a2d9604fca33f9623e3b74f18f23dfe9beee4c07a41cf42950a

muvvenby commented on 2016-05-11 15:09

@carlwgeorge Ah, yes, now I see. So basically we're waiting for Mint to catch up.

carlwgeorge commented on 2016-05-11 15:03

@muvvenby The gtk3 components have their own version of 3.18+3. I'm guessing that this means that the Mint project is only building and testing this theme against gtk 3.18.

muvvenby commented on 2016-05-11 14:57

Thanks for working on this theme, I _do_ use it :-)

I just updated mint-x-icons and mint-x-theme on my install and the GTK 3.20 incompatibility is not fixed for me. Am I missing something?

SunRed commented on 2016-05-11 13:41

@carlwgeorge I also don't use them anymore but had mint-themes still installed and saw it was orphaned and had to be updated. So I fixed this and saw you already provide this package in a better way. Although mint-themes exists longer 'mint-x-theme(s)' actually makes more sense since we are merging two packages providing the Mint-X themes. Also it fits better with mint-x-icons.
I could orphan mint-themes now again but it should be deleted anyway soon.
I will edit the Cinnamon page to refer to this package rather than mint-themes.

carlwgeorge commented on 2016-05-11 13:20

@SunRed The do appear to be essentially the same thing. The appropriate package name is debatable. Mint ships the packages as mint-themes and mint-themes-gtk3, but they both place files in the /usr/share/themes/Mint-X* directories.

Honestly I don't use this theme anymore, if you want to take it over I'd be more than happy to orphan it for you.

SunRed commented on 2016-05-10 22:54

How did we ended up with two packages essentially providing the same?
I mean mint-x-theme and mint-themes shouldn't co-exit. I will submit a delete request for mint-themes or is there any reason for keeping both?

serchik commented on 2016-04-19 23:17

mint-x-theme and gtk3 are incompatible now

The latest update broke check-boxes for me. Does anyone else have the same problem?

carlwgeorge commented on 2014-05-03 21:50

Updated to include Openbox theme from here:

carlwgeorge commented on 2014-04-24 16:41

I see what you mean, I saw your screenshots in the comments for mint-themes. This is defintely something to report upstream.

josealb77 commented on 2014-04-18 12:43

It happened before with the mint-themes packages update, here you can see the problems I had (the user taopend had them too):
I uninstalled mint-themes, reinstalled mint-x-theme package, and this issue was finished for me.

When I saw the mint-x-theme package update available (from 1.2.8 to 1.3.0) I was skeptical, so I had my mint-x-theme_1.2.8 package ready in case something were wrong. After rebooting the first thing I saw was the panel with a different color; the black-grey left panel (places) in caja instead clear grey; the volume slider wasn't as it was after upgrading mint-themes but didn't convince me by the way; and I could change the font color from gey (invisible) to black in tooltips but despite it all the environment wasn't the same. So I didn't check anything else and in about 1 minute I had downgraded to 1.2.8 again and blacklisted mint-x-theme updates.

carlwgeorge commented on 2014-04-18 09:44

I just updated the package with the latest upstream tarball. If there is a bug, you should report it upstream.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by "does not look like Mint anymore"? I don't see any obvious issues on my computer that is running MATE. Can you be more descriptive or maybe provide a screenshot?

josealb77 commented on 2014-04-17 23:23

With this update MATE does not look like Mint anymore (at least like Mint 16 and before, I don't know how will Mint 17 look). I come back to the previous version (1.2.8).
