hay que editar tambien el PKGBUILD el apartado : "pkgver=5.5.0" cambiar a : "pkgver=5.5.1"
Installed !!
we must also edit the PKGBUILD section: "pkgver = 5.5.0" switch to : "pkgver = 5.5.1"

Hello !!. I know that this package is discontinued by sl1pkn07, is it still possible to install it? I'm trying to install from AUR and I can not. I have edited the PKGBUILD "source" and "sha256sums" as it says Angel _Caido and throws me this error
curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found ==> ERROR: Hubo fallos durante la descarga de http://ppa.launchpad.net/hizo/mkv-extractor-gui/ubuntu/pool/main/m/mkv-extractor-qt5/mkv-extractor-qt5_5.5.0.orig.tar.gz Cancelando... ==> ERROR: Makepkg no ha podido compilar mkv-extractor-qt.

Latest Update corrected the error where Mkv-Extractor-Qt5 would shut down when opening an MKV file.
Just Edit the PKGBUILD and replace the "source" and "sha256sums" variables with the following:
source=("http://ppa.launchpad.net/hizo/mkv-extractor-gui/ubuntu/pool/main/m/${pkgname}5/${pkgname}5_${pkgver}.orig.tar.gz")
sha256sums=('640f5af3177621316f374a18cd90fc56037fa45231903cd9c05441d9c93856fd')
