@gabrielmagno monit and M/Monit are 2 different tools. monit is agent for M/Monit, which acts as a server solution for controlling/monitoring multiple servers. And monit already has a package in community. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/monit/ http://mmonit.com/ http://mmonit.com/monit/

They now have an open source version, that is called "monit", instead of "mmonit": http://mmonit.com/monit/ I have created a PKGBUILD that seems to work well. Should I submit it in AUR with the name "monit" or should the mantainer of "mmonit" keep maintaining the new open source version?
