This doesn't seem to include a service file, perhaps it would be possible to include the one from the debian package? https://salsa.debian.org/DebianOnMobile-team/mmsd-tng/-/blob/debian/latest/debian/mmsd-tng.user.service.
@jkeyne I believe I fixed it, if you have any problems let me know.
Seems to be missing c-ares as a repo build dependency, also I think the arch is messed up as it said that my aarch64 device was not a supported architecture

Would anyone like to be a co-maintainer? This has received more attention than I originally anticipated...
