Hey artemklevtsov, thanks for your suggestion. I am currently in vacation so I cannot upgrade the package at the moment, but feel free to ask dome22xl to add you as a co-maintainer, or just wait a few more days. Thank you!

Depends should be fixed.

Updated to new Dec2016-SP2 Bugfix release

dome22xl commented on 2017-02-20 17:59

It is actually required by the vanilla package as of the 11.19 branch.

So yes just use the stock r package.

I will do some builds of my own soon sorry about that.

thiagowfx commented on 2017-02-19 23:57

Hi dome22xl,

I think R support is something extra, not supposed to be enabled in the vanilla package. Of course, people who wish to install monetdb with R support should be free to add it. Do you agree?

Also, FYI the correct now is just 'r', not 'r-lang'.

dome22xl commented on 2017-02-18 23:14

Glad to see some people are interested in this package only building it since 2012 i have never spoke to previous maintainer.

dome22xl commented on 2017-02-18 23:09

It does Symen was ok with stock when looking at his patch.

Will add him as another maintainer.

dome22xl commented on 2017-02-18 23:06

You need R to be built with the shared library for the linker to build things correctly.

dome22xl commented on 2017-02-18 23:04

Thankyou for the update however.

Your database will barf because if r-lang missing hence i created my own package not tried the stock R language package.

thiagowfx commented on 2017-02-16 21:59

Thanks for your fast response, dome22xl. I just updated it to the latest version.

For systemd i think would need units for the farm start / stop

monetdbd start /my/dbfarm

then units to stop / start each schema for your.

monetdb start schemaname

Thats just what makes sense also a mechanism to update which schemas you have with systemd also via

monetdb status

Hi thiagowfx i have added you the co-maintainer.

I haven't had time to update this in a while feel free.

thiagowfx commented on 2017-02-16 04:30

@symen: do you now how to fix the systemd units to make them work?

thiagowfx commented on 2017-02-16 04:21

Could you please add me as co-maintainer? I want to update this package.

symen commented on 2016-10-20 08:45

Here is a patch to make this package work:
https://ptpb.pw/l-Qz

Note that the provided systemd units don't work as is.

bertptrs commented on 2016-09-27 14:14

Current sources generate a 404, can you please update it?

Yggdrasil commented on 2016-06-04 16:24

Any reason for the aur package "r-lang" instead of the package "r" in extra? For me the package from the repository worked just fine.

I also had to add --without-rubygem to the configure-call as it otherwise fails to build ruby bindings. As i don't need it, i just disabled ruby.

dome22xl commented on 2016-05-30 15:22

Make sure you add an r-lang.conf and run ldconfig

cat /etc/ld.so.conf.d/r-lang.conf
/usr/lib64/R/lib
