It seems that the website is gone and shows AD content. I'll later check if it's possible to use [1] as a temporary source.

[UPDATE] I changed the source to use debnian archive, archive checksum was the same

[1] http://deb.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/monkeysphere/monkeysphere_0.44.orig.tar.gz

SSL certificate issue is still ongoing. The source file must be fetched using HTTP instead of HTTPS.

cuihao commented on 2020-05-18 17:37 (UTC)

Failed to download sources because upstream SSL cert has expired:

==> Retrieving sources...
  -> Downloading monkeysphere_0.44.orig.tar.gz...
curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired
More details here: https://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html

curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not
establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and
how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above.

Now it misses Crypt/OpenSSL/Bignum.pm. Maybe extra/perl-crypt-openssl-bignum should be added to the build dependencies; after installing it, monkeysphere also installed successfully!

@mhemeryck: Well actually there wasn't any issue in the build process but rather in the 'check' phase which executed some tests as provided from upstream developers. The tests were not passing and therefore makepackage considered the build failed. You may want to read the PKGBUILD to see which steps are executed in order to build the package

Thanks for the fix! Works now on my local machine.

Just out of curiosity: what was actually the issue in the build process? Seems like it's doing some heavy integration testing, just in the build.

Hi all, sorry, I was not very present. Upstream released a new version and on my box tests are passing, can you please try upgrading/installing now and reporting here?

Thanks

@Ghul: hd is a Debian specific (?) alias for hexdump (at least it doesn’t exist on my Fedora and Gentoo boxes, and man hd opens the hexdump man page on Ubuntu.

This, however, doesn’t solve the diff issue reported by @mhemeryck (which i also have)
