Oh, there is also a newer version that works with cuda-9.1 which is the latest available in the AUR. The current version, even if built, won't use cuda>8.x.

Not sure what execstack is but it's not necessary to build or run this. Also not available on Arch at this time so far as I can tell by way of any other packages.
