Because the developer deleted the binary package of mqttfx 1.7.1. Maybe he wants to push his newly developed version mqttfx 5.0. However, mqttfx 5. 0 does not support Linux systems. It is recommended to use other mqtt tools for communication testing, such as mqttx. AUR mqttx-bin mqttx-git

$ namcap mqttfx-bin-1.7.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz | grep -i symlink

mqttfx-bin E: Symlink (usr/bin/mqttfx) points to non-existing /opt/mqttfx/mqttfx

The java-openjfx and java-runtime dependencies have been removed again in package version 1.7.0-1. This has been done, because the upstream .deb file now comes with a bundled JRE Java runtime environment which is used by the application. Next to all application specific dependencies this provides the necessary JRE to run the application without installing a local JRE and JavaFX runtime.

Added the java-openjfx package as dependency and released version 1.6.0-2.

This ensures that the required JavaFX runtime is available which is required to run the application. Also as of Java 11 the official Oracle JDK won't include JavaFX anymore. With the Java Platform Module System in place since Java 9, Oracle decided that it now makes sense to decouple JavaFX from the JDK, in order to make it available as a separate download.

Thanks nlufr and PSC for pointing that out. My system missed java-openjfx too.

Hello, Can you add java-openjfx in dependency, because I had to install it to run the application. Thank you.

Seems to be a error with the checksum ==> Validating source files with md5sums... mqttfx-1.2.1-64bit.deb ... Passed mqttfx.desktop ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build mqttfx-bin.
