This package provides the latest version of Mullvad Browser.

This is in contrast with mullvad-browser-bin, which contains the latest stable version. Sometimes, both packages will have the same version. Other times, this package will be newer, for example if there is an alpha or beta release.

Did a new install just a little bit ago & realized I did not have this on my laptop yet. So just tried to install and it gave this error (tried 4 times under Hardened kernel then just rebooted into CachyOS standard kernel and same thing):

.....
Importing keys with gpg...
gpg: keyserver receive failed: Connection timed out
 -> problem importing keys

While I was in Hardened I also updated the mirrors just in case but that didn't change anything. I can't remember when I had an issue with gpg keyserver issues before. It might of happened before I'm sure, but nothing that stopped me, I'm sure I just rebooted and it was fine or maybe just need to wait a few days?

This program's license is considered to be a single license under MPL-2.0, not a dual license under MPL-2.0 and GPL-3.0-or-later.

The webpage linked from the Mullvad Browser LICENSE file states it is MPL-2.0, with no mention of GPL-3.0-or-later. Furthermore, the Readme file also only specifies MPL-2.0. Additionally, the source code headers only reference MPL, with no mention of GPL.

Looks line it's a known issue: https://github.com/mullvad/mullvad-browser/issues/422

Launching mullvad-browser with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 environmental variable solved it for me.

The browser keeps crashing after a few minutes of usage. Launching from terminal shows this error continuously repeating:

I'm using Plasma. The behavior is the same under the LTS kernel. Mullvad flatpak works fine. So does Firefox ESR.

@0xGingi Woops, sorry about that. Should be fixed now.

I removed "alpha" from the desktop file since this package is (for now) switched from the alpha channel to the stable channel, since 13.0 was officially released and the stable channel currently has the most modern and up-to-date version of the browser.

The new desktop file might cause some weirdness for pinned launchers in docks/panels the first time you try to use it. Worse case scenario, you may need to remove a pinned launcher and re-add it. In gnome, I didn't need to do anything for it to start working except open and close the browser once. I'll try to keep this name generic from now on without changing it, so we don't run into any issues like this in the future.
