It seems that in confusion, I have updated the pkgrel in the source info but not the PKGBUILD. I’ll do that when I get home.

When I update my system, it tells me that it wants to update musehub-bin:
1. muse-hub-bin: 1.0.1.451-4 ==> 1.0.1.451-5
and it shows me the version -5 that it is supposed to build and install. But then, it builds the version -4 and re-installs it:

Why does it pull the previous version?

According to https://serverfault.com/questions/806617/configuring-systemd-service-to-run-with-root-access , running the binary as root should be the default, which we use for the user setting.

Yep I see the issue, I had to run directly with sudo to make it even work properly, that defiantly needs to be fixed.

Oh I see and no sorry, I have never used this before so I don't have any experience with this or know why it's broken. Maybe you should try it again for yourself , I can try and help diagnose it

The Muse_Hub.deb source needs to be renamed to include the package name and version number, e.g. like this:
-source=('https://muse-cdn.com/Muse_Hub.deb' 'muse-hub.service' 'LICENSE')
+source=("$pkgname-$pkgver.deb::https://muse-cdn.com/Muse_Hub.deb" 'muse-hub.service' 'LICENSE')
Otherwise, when a new version comes out it says “I’ve already downloaded Muse_Hub.deb” and fails since the checksum doesn’t match.
(Refer to the warning in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PKGBUILD#source.)
In the meantime, if any users hit this: delete Muse_Hub.deb and it’ll download the latest version.
