For now, it's unfortunately impossible to update official musescore packages to 4.4.2 because of the switch to Qt 6.x. Musescore isn't supporting well recent Qt6 versions (6.7 and soon 6.8 in Arch).
For example this bug : https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/24097
That's why the AppImage used by this package is currently stuck to Qt 6.2.

Does anyone know what happened to the
musescore
package inextra
? It has been marked as out-of-date since late August and is still at 4.3.2 despite the availability of 4.4.2. I really hope that @alucryd is doing well; he has successfully updated many other packages, and maybe Musescore is not his top priority. Nevertheless, we would be really grateful for the updatedmusescore
