Can confirm, version 3.10.4043-3 is working again. Thank you for taking care of it quickly!

@duyfken @wleoncio I've changed the dependency to electron9 and this should be fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

@wleoncio Try downgrading electron to 9.2.1 as I found after electron upgraded to 10.* it stopped Musixmatch working on my setup as things changed in the electron backend (hence the major version jump)

This hasn't been working for a couple of days now. The main window is just a white background with black text saying "An unexpected error has occured". Same thing happens on my laptop. According to techweez, the Spotify in-app lyrics is rolling out just to "Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, El Salvador, Uruguay, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong", so at least for the moment basically the whole world outside of South America and Southeast Asia are out of options for their lyrics fix.

This worked fine for me a couple of weeks ago. Also, the Spotify lyric rollout (which reads the Musixmatch DB btw) is phased and not available everywhere yet... + of course that integration lacks a number of features that only the stand-alone desktop app provides.

Most problems with this that I've previously experienced are limited to the download of the Debian package from the Musixmatch CDN servers, which is entirely out of the control of the PKGBUILD.

It wasn't working here too, I can't say why anymore. Spotify has lyrics now and I uninstalled musixmatch.

@lcdss Can you please be more specific about what isn't working? I've tested this myself recently and it was working for me, and others have reported that it is working fine for them.

lcdss commented on 2020-11-11 04:01

It doesn't work for months already.

Amazing. It works like a charm.

@braderhart @tuxitop Tried both method to no avail. Even after a reboot. I'll update if I can somehow figure this out.
