dependency libmariadb not found :(
It looks like libmariadb is still in staging

morningpee commented on 2017-05-25 19:57

While building, got
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading

These are the current URLs for 1.1.7:

Also, the latest version is 1.1.9 now. Download links for those:

@robertas that looks like you need to import the gpg key in order to validate the package, e.g. `gpg2 --keyserver hkp:// --recv-keys A4A9406876FCBD3C456770C88C718D3B5072E1F5`

We good. :)

eworm commented on 2016-09-26 06:25

Sorry, I borked it with a wrong patch file name. Please try again.

Updated to version 1.1.7. This builds for me, but I do not have anything to test with.
As mariadb does not support native JSON (should be available with 10.2) I stripped support for JSON for now.

Just got to see that you're saying in a previous comment that mysql-workbench bundle this library, I'm probably gonna install that...

I'm porting some code I wrote myself from an old debian VM to a real linux box that runs Arch, and I access a mysql database using this library, in C++

Ybalrid commented on 2016-09-08 08:43

Hi, I'm unable to build the package. I got an error regarding a PGP signature

mysql-connector-c++-1.1.6.tar.gz ... FAILED (unknown public key 8C718D3B5072E1F5)
==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build mysql-connector-c++.

Am I doing something wrong or is the code signature broken?

JohnRobson commented on 2016-03-26 04:51

@eworm I removed it without problems, tks.

eworm commented on 2016-03-17 07:19

Yes, this is still broken... But there is still nothing that requires it.

@JohnRobson, is there anything you need this package for or can you just remove it?

JohnRobson commented on 2016-03-17 00:38

eworm commented on 2016-02-15 07:27

I know this is currently broken in different ways.
Anyway... What do you need it for? The only package that requires (or required) it is mysql-workbench. That brings a bundled version of mysql-connector-c++ now, so most of you can simple remove this package from system.

ibizaman commented on 2016-02-14 21:44

Build failed for me with:

CMake Error at FindMySQL.cmake:508 (message):
MYSQL_INCLUDE_DIR given, but no "mysql.h" in "/usr/include/mysql;/usr/include/mysql/.."
Call Stack (most recent call first):
CMakeLists.txt:217 (INCLUDE)

So by diving into FindMySQL's code you understand that it failed because two include folders where given however FindMySQL can only handle one. So adding the following line to the cmake line in PKGBUILD did the trick:

oh great, thanks. I ran the gpg keys as root.
It should be ran as the user account you are using.

I ran this command :

gpg --keyserver hkp:// --recv-key 8C718D3B5072E1F5

Then it worked.

I have this problem too. eworm, when I run your command, it fails. I tried to reset my ~/.gnupg/ folder, and recreate the config file, to set a key server. When I add the key in my root user account, pacman still spits the same error about the key.

eworm commented on 2016-01-21 08:05

Just run:

gpg --recv-key 8C718D3B5072E1F5

z3ntu commented on 2016-01-21 08:03

Also got

mysql-connector-c++-1.1.6.tar.gz ... FAILED (unknown public key 8C718D3B5072E1F5)
==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!

subjectdenied commented on 2016-01-20 13:34

not exactly sure, i'm doing something wrong here, but i get this error when updating. already did a refresh of keys
