Updated for version 2.0. As upstream now packages N just as a standalone swf, this package now runs the game using the `$BROWSER` variable through a very small script. If anyone feels that there is a better way to run this, please let me know.

See n-ninja-swf package which does the steps described below.

The best way to run ninja n on linux might be the following: 1. download windows version from the official site 2. extract swf from the packaged flash file n_v14.exe; a) for that, you can use, e.g., exe2swf tool: http://freecode.com/projects/exe2swf 3. ensure that you have flashplugin installed and just run this swf in a browser P.S. 1. Might be a good idea to add exe2swf to aur. 2. Add n-ninja-swf or edit the current n-ninja package (so that it does the described steps). The licence requires one not to disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer original package... But since it is simply an ordinary flash package, extracting swf can hardly be called one of the above actions. Or I hope so.

When I attempt to launch the game, I receive a segmentation fault.

I'm not sure when/why all of the AUR comments were purged, but there used to be comments describing the progression of the package. This thread explains a little about ziva_vatra's fix: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=387095#p387095 It does use flashplugin, but it's bundled with the binary.

are you sure that this is not dependent on flashplayer? when i click on the icon, it launches standalone flashplayer (which i have previously installed) with the game running in it... do we really need this? why we not just launch the swf in one of many browsers available in archlinux?
