You forgot to include the dependencies and a few other things, but besides that it looks fine. Here's the PKGBUILD I adapted a bit ago: http://aur.pastebin.com/QMe3GaxR To switch branches you just need to change the _gitbranch variable. The latest branch is "balance", but you should leave it as "bigsys" for now since 'make install' isn't currently working in it. Don't forget to add the # Maintainer line to the top if you use it. :)

woops, fixed the _pkgname variable and got rid of the || return 1 statements. Was there anything else?

What the? _pkgname=fluxbox Besides that, the PKGBUILD doesn't exactly conform to packaging standards.
