The first part of the version string is extracted from Nagstamon/Config.py (currently "3.13.20230720" in branch master), the second and the third part are generated by git. Due to the way the second part is generated, a higher version of the package is generated if there was git activity but no adjustment of the version string. So this package will be updated by an appropriate aur helper if there was activity in the branch master, which I just verified on one of my machines.
The -20230808 latest releases seems to be based on the branch "status_update" which is not merged into master, so it won't be included in this package until this changes upstream.

Despite being a -git release this is stuck on 3.13.20230720 while 3.13-20230808 is available.

For https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nagstamon/ chrit reported an error "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'spnego'", which also occurs, when using nagstamon.git.
Regarding this, I was able to reproduce it for nagstamon and nagstamon-git. The error is an already known bug of the p-r-kerberos package (https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/73324?project=5&string=python-requests-kerberos). As workaround you could install python-pyspnego which would allow p-r-kerberos to load and work properly or you could install p-r-gssapi, which would change the kerberos auth backend used. The error occurs even if you don't use kerberos auth in your setup, but in any case both workaround should be working.
