@kureta and @mzabielski: I'm investigating the problem in compiling the openfx-arena package.

For now, the package is optional, no longer interfering with the Natron installation.

@kureta - It looks like you have to install libiconv package to go further.

After doing that I've got also info about missing libraries, which you should install additionally: libxdgmime-git

After that I've got an error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -linotify

I'm still looking for the missing package...

It looks like @technotercio has to add these packages as dependencies.

Trying to install this package gives an error while building one of its dependencies openfx-arena

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lcharset

@devernay: The PKGBUILD has been fixed, according to his suggestion.

devernay commented on 2018-07-01 08:40 (UTC)

Hi, A user is reporting missing PyPlugs, see https://discuss.pixls.us/t/lightwrap-module-missing/8188 From the PKGBUILD it seems these are not installed. They are in Gui/Resources/PyPlugs in the source tree and should be installed in a directory which is either in ../Plugins/Pyplugs relative to the Natron binary, or in /usr/share/Natron/Plugins

@jerome2016: According to the Arch Linux wiki, it is necessary to put the prefix "git+" when the URL accessed is from another protocol (such as HTTPS):

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#VCS_sources

On the error in the directory, delete the directory "~/.cache/pacaur" and try to install again.

If the error continues, put here the output of the pacaur command so that I can analyze it.

It had many errors. First fix i find for error about no clone git on https://github.com/NatronGitHub/Natron.git is to remove git+ in lines with: "git+http::" next errors talk about not find ~/.cache/pacaur/natron/src/natron directory... (sure there is not) I don't know how to fix this pkgbuild bug but it seems to have some wrong srcdir variable or wrong things around thise maybe... I would be very surprise that someone actually arrive to install this package. Could you help me please (maybe you can try this package and see the problem) ?

@wolfyrion: I do not maintain the natron-git package.

Any problems with this package should be commented on its page: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/natron-git/
