To anyone considering this package,
tagbar has undergone a huge amount of development since the last tagged release, but all work is just being done on the master branch which is considered stable and no tagged releases are being made. I highly recommend installing the plugin directly with a plugin manager or at least funding the build of this package to use a newer archive tarball than what is tagged.
