i'm trying to play with another tileset (for 3.6.0), but it seems that this version is somehow still shiping with the 3.4.3 'x11tiles' file. Could you verify that this version works with, let's say the dawnhack tiles from https://www.reddit.com/r/nethack/comments/498ay4/dawnhack_unofficially_adapted_to_360/ thanks!

Updated the PKGBUILD. Had to add "-j1" to make as well, to make it build reliably. Thanks for the patches, Moxon!

I was able to make 3.6 compile and install and I can now play the X11 variant again. Please have a look at my patch v2: . logfiles and such are now preserved across re- and uninstalls . also installs Guidebook http://ix.io/LGp v1: http://ix.io/CqN

3.6 has *several* build problems. Checked in PKGBUILD.36, but more work is needed and/or upstream needs to fix things.

Hey, whenever I try to run this program I get this error message: /usr/bin/nethack: line 62: cd: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-(username)/aur-nethack-x11/pkg/nethack-x11/usr/share/nethack: No such file or directory /usr/bin/nethack: line 68: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-(username)/aur-nethack-x11/pkg/nethack-x11/usr/share/nethack/nethack: No such file or directory With (username) replaced with my actual username of course.

nicooo, thank you. I will consider using win/X1/nethack.rc instead (but it does not seem to check for /etc/nethackrc?). For now, win/X11/nethack.rc is included in /usr/share/doc/nethack-x11.
